США изучают дополнительные санкции против «Северного потока-2», заявил госсекретарь Энтони Блинкен на слушаниях в конгрессе. Об этом сообщает РИА Новости.
«Мы продолжаем изучать возможности санкций в будущем», — сказал он. При этом Блинкен посетовал на то, что газопровод уже практически достроен.
Ранее сенаторы призвали президента США Джо Байдена ввести санкции против компаний, принимающих участие в строительстве газопровода «Северный поток-2». В своем письме 40 сенаторов-республиканцев выразили обеспокоенность тем фактом, что администрация Байдена так и не ввела санкции в отношении судов и компаний, вовлеченных в строительство газопровода, тогда как вся информация о них есть в публичном доступе.
«Северный поток-2» — газопровод из России в Германию, проложенный по дну Балтийского моря. Его должны были ввести в эксплуатацию еще в конце 2019 года, однако завершение строительства пришлось отложить из-за санкций США.
